TRAINING COURSES
We offer a wide range of accredited and non-accredited learning experiences
As a participant on the Creativity & Change postgraduate certificate, you will engage in a wide range of hands-on creative processes including visual arts, creative writing and theatre, explore global justice topics and reflect on your own identity as a global citizen. You will also put learning into practice in designing learning experiences for a range of contexts.
Find out more information about the accredited award duration, content, and modules on the Certificate in Creativity & Change page and on the MTU course finder.
The course fee is heavily subsidised by Irish Aid. Applications are usually open between May and August every year. Note that places may be offered on a rolling basis, so early application is always advised.
Our work centres on exploring and addressing global justice and we value the perspectives and experiences of a diverse participant group. Seeking to provide opportunities to those who may have experienced barriers to accessing post-graduate education, such as those in Direct Provision, or Travellers, we launched the Amplifying Voices scholarship programme in 2020. This programme offers two full fee scholarships each year to eligible applicants.
Our Deep Dives offer an opportunity for continuing professional development and are aimed at those working in adult & community education, youth work or any non-formal learning setting. They are a space for inspirational, intensive and in-depth engagement over one or two days.
Are you working on global justice issues with a group? Do you need some creative inspiration? Our Deep Dive workshops will give you skills and confidence to work creatively with your group on the issues that you feel are important. They are delivered by facilitators with specific expertise and experience and designed around identified gaps and expressed interests and needs of practitioners.
Previous training includes Playback theatre, Street Art, Creative Writing, Visual Facilitation and Design Thinking.
Upcoming Deep Dives will be announced on our Instagram and through our newsletter.
