Munster Technological University MTU Fine Art & Applied Art Department (Crawford College of Art & Design) are delighted to invite applications for a full time, fully-fund 4 year PhD program.

 

The PhD program, titled "Kinship" is funded by Munster Technological University through TU RISE funding.
 

This creative Art/Science research inquiry sits at the intersection of biodiversity, habitat conservation, and the circular economy.  The Scholarship will support an emergent process-lead investigation of the complex ecological and habitual waste management problematics presented by Tramore Valley Park, a remediated landfill site in Cork city https://www.lennontaylor.ie/kinship


The call out welcomes research proposals that expand on and develop these topics.


The PhD Scholarship is offered in close collaboration with The KinShip project. The KinShip project is a long term public art project led by artist collaboration LennonTaylor (Dr Marilyn Lennon MTU and Dr Sean Taylor) in partnership with Cork City Council, developing a variety of socially engaged cultural initiatives at Tramore Valley Park since 2022.  The PhD starts Jan 1st 2025.


The PhD will start no later than 1st January 2025.
