Aoife Claffey is a multidisciplinary installation artist based in Cork, Ireland. Her work explores human sensory perception through immersive environments that merge interactive projections, sculpture, drawing and sound. Engaging with site-specific spaces, she speculates on alternative environments while critically examining social structures and the interplay of unpredictability and fragility.

Focused on the tension between sensory overload and solitude, her practice reflects on the potential of advanced technology to foster connection rather than distraction. Through light, surround sound, reflective materials, and layered projections, Aoife creates installations that expand sensory and psychological boundaries, evoking altered states of perception and engagement.

Since January 2025 Aoife has been a PhD Candidate on the Interwoven Networks Project which is a collaboration between Nimbus Centre and Drawbridge

Aoife is also a founding member of inter_site Collective https://www.intersite.ie/
