The class of 2021 has seen not only their final year but also a significant portion of their third year disrupted by the Covid 19 pandemic. Last year, the closure of all colleges and universities on March 13th came as a shock and staff and students had to adapt almost overnight, to a completely different way of doing things. This year’s finalists, however, began their fourth year having already established skills and strategies for studying the theory and practice of art and design remotely. Once again, this website and its launch are evidence of the vitality, energy and creativity of our students and we celebrate them and their achievements with respect, affection and great pride.
At the Crawford we combine deep critical and analytical thought with highly developed craft and technical skills across five undergraduate programmes in Fine Art; Creative Digital Media; Contemporary Applied Art; Visual Communications and Photography with New Media, along with postgraduate and professional development courses. We are proud of the quality of the work produced by our students and applaud them for their extraordinary resourcefulness in responding to the current circumstances with ingenuity, hard work, great ideas and clear, incisive thinking.
We wish them all the very best for the future and look forward to hearing their news.
