The Crawford was part of the Creative Europe Project TNCE (Trans National Creative Exchange) from 2015 to 2017. The project was led by Southampton Solent University, School of Art Design and Fashion and brought together international partners including: Solent Showcase Gallery, CIT Crawford College of Art and Design, CIT Wandesford Quay Gallery, The Hague University of Applied Sciences, Rencontres Audiovisuelles, Lille and China Academy of Art/Shanghai Institute of Design.
The project included residencies in Southampton and China for students from each partner institution, as well as exhibitions and conferences.
In Cork, we hosted a conference on Creative Entrepreneurship and Promoting the Arts, and an exhibition, Pass It On at CIT Wandesford Quay Gallery. Our students and graduates travelled to France, The Netherlands, United Kingdom and China for exhibitions, projects and residencies to collaborate with students from other countries and work in different disciplines from computer programming, fashion, illustration, animation and more.
Residency: Creation Camp 2017, China:
For the summer of 2017 students from China, UK, France, The Netherlands Ireland and Germany travelled to China Academy of Art Shanghai Institute of Technology for the Creation Camp 2017.
Exhibition in CIT Wandesford Quay Gallery, Cork:
Pass it On was inspired by the unstoppable modern interchange of ideas between artists from across the globe. Graduate artists from five countries, including Ireland, were selected to participate in the International Graduate Artists in Residency programme at Southampton Solent University. They researched, collaborated and developed new work for this exhibition that toured internationally among the participating countries.

Innovation Week Conference, Cork:
In 2016, we hosted a 2 day conference on Creative Entrepreneurship and Promoting Arts and Culture in CIT Cork School of Music. The conference included presentations by Michele Darmody Restaurateur, Food Writer and Author; Tuula Harrington, Jewellery Designer; Jonny Hannah, Illustrator; Marie Brett, Artist; Roderick Udo, Music Industry Professional and Paula Moss, Blackpop Design.
