Fran Edgerley, of Assemble Studios worked with a multidisciplinary group of students from Architecture, Fine Art and Visual Communications. They used drawing materials and clay to explore the visualisation of ideas in both two and three dimensions.
Assemble were the winners of the prestigious Turner Prize in 2015. Assemble is a collective based in London working across the fields of art, architecture and design. Assemble’s working practice seeks to address the typical disconnection between the public and the process by which places are made.
Assemble champion a working practice that is interdependent and collaborative, seeking to actively involve the public as both participant and collaborator in the on-going realization of the work.
The masterclass was organised by the Institute of Designers of Ireland (IDI) as part of the Irish Design 2015 programme in partnership with EUNIC and British Council. Assemblestudio.co.uk
