MA by Research Intrim Exhibition
A part of my research is exploring Glenn Albrecht's new language of emotions, in particular solastalgia. He defines ' solastalgia' as the pain or distress caused by the ongoing loss of solace and the sense of desolation connected to the present state of one's home and territory.
My project relates to the emotional and experiential connection to the ecological emergency. Ballyhighland woods, Co.Wexford, will act as a canvas to explore a specific local area and its ecosystems; to contribute, protect and conserve a place that ultimately supports us
