AREAS OF EXPERTISE: Photography
Roseanne Lynch is an Irish artist based in Cork, with an international research residency and exhibiting practice.
“While consciously refining the elements of a photographic practice, Roseanne Lynch subjects her process to the principles of the Bauhaus school’s ‘Vorkus’ or preliminary course. Through experimentation, contemplation and rigour she has produced images, mostly made in the darkroom, that talk of architectural constructs, light and the medium itself.”
Recent solo exhibitions have been Techne Sphere, Leipzig, 2021, Irish Embassy, Berlin, 2020 and
Centre Culturel Irlandais, Paris, 2019.
Recent residencies have been Banff Centre for Arts and Creativity, Banff, Canada, 2020, The Bauhaus Foundation, Dessau, Germany, 2019, Camargo foundation Cassis, France, International fellowship programme 2015 and Centre Culturel Irlandais, 2015 & 2011.
She has had work purchased by the National Collection of Ireland through the Crawford Gallery, The Glucksman Gallery, UCC, Office of Public Works and The Arts Council of Ireland, The Bauhaus Foundation, Dessau as well as National and International significant private collections.
