Big congratulations to 2024 -BA(HONS) in Fine Art Graduate -Fionn Timmons, who won one of the 6 major awards at last Fridays evenings RDS Visual Arts Awards launch in the RHA in Dublin.
Fionn won the RDS Mason Hayes & Curran LLP Centre Culturel Irlandais Residency Award (value €8,000), which will see him spend 3 months at the wonderful Centre Cultural Irlandias in the heart of Paris Latin quarter, this prestigious award comes with the support of full travel costs to and from Paris, accommodation, studio facilities at CCI and a cash stipend...
Lecturer James Hayes & Senior Lecturer Catherine Hehir were at the RHA on friday evening to support and congratulate Fionn and his family, he was also joined by many of his friends from last year Fine Art Program, many who were also longlisted for the RDS awards... Fionn beat out tough competition to make it to this year final ten exhibiting graduates with his very impressive large scale sculptural installation work ' Ciorcal na nDéise',

There was 114 students longlisted for this years RDS awards from Arts Schools and Universities from both undertgradaute and postgradaute visual art programs from Ireland & Northern Ireland. So we again congarduate Fionn on this majopr achievemnet and it is credit to all his hard work and commitment to his medium and we wish him every succsss for the future, he is currently undertaking his residency award at the NSF in Cork , developing new works and commissions.....
